Sustaining Members: The Engineering Institute of Canada

Sustaining Members are corporations or individuals providing financial support to The EIC Fund, a registered charity.

The EIC Fund:

  1. Provides a quality assurance program that recognizes providers of continuing education and professional development. These providers commit to internationally-recognized standards for the delivery of their courses.
  2. Annually recognizes outstanding engineers from amongst the members of the twelve institute member societies with Fellowships and Medals at an awards gala.
  3. Recognizes outstanding Canadians who have influenced the engineering profession by installing them as Honorary Members of the EIC. Sustaining members may nominate candidates for this distinction.

The EIC Fund also donates to organizations that foster an interest in engineering on the part of youth, i.e., Youth Science Canada, The Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation, and the IEEE Canada Foundation.

In addition, it provides bursaries to assist internationally-trained engineers in the pursuit of qualifying for the P.Eng. designation and administers an endowment to provide a scholarship for the study of dams.

Sustaining membership dues are highly appreciated in supporting the growth of EIC Fund activities.
